the WORLD'S greatest DAD

In the roles that we play, whether it be mother, father, aunt, uncle, sister, brother, friend, we all have our strengths and weaknesses. At any moment, on any given day, we might be at our very best or our very worst. Ever since becoming pregnant I have gone from merely surviving, to having "moments" of normal when I feel, for that moment, that all is right in the world. As I have felt better, I have noticed those "moments" more and more and how they almost always seem to occur every night when Tom comes home to be with the kids. Of course, he comes home to be with me too but let's face it, in Savannah and Benjamin's eyes the world is never better than at the moment when Daddy comes home. He plays hide and seek with them, he wrestles with them, he plays cars with them, he watches movies with them, and he manages to eat his dinner with one child on his lap and the other wrapped tightly around his neck. He, for those precious few hours, is the world's greatest dad. I never knew how much joy I would find in watching my kids love their father. Sitting back and witnessing such sweetness. I am beyond grateful because despite any weaknesses he might have, he carries the greatest strength in being the daddy to our children and that is what really matters.
