dinner is served

It's been a long time since we have sat and had family dinner together on a week night. Reason being, Tom works until 6:00 and on most nights he makes it home between 6:30 and 7:00 (although we've spent many a night waiting later for him to arrive). So by the time he gets home, we've already eaten. That doesn't stop Savannah from being involved in the preparation of his dinner plate. Every night, for the past several weeks Savannah insists on serving Tom his dinner. She gets very excited and although she has to be assisted on occasion, she is so proud of herself as she carefully scoops the food on his plate, smiling widely the entire time. It's pretty cute how much she enjoys serving others...especially her daddy.
