"Can I breathe?"
So as mentioned in a previous blog entry, Savannah has been spending a lot of nights sleeping in the same bed as me. Last night, I went upstairs to find Savannah and Tom lying the in same bed watching tennis together so rather than interupt, I decided to get cozy next to them. It didn't take long for me to be in that peaceful state between awake and asleep when Savannah started wiggling. I gently reminded her that she needed to lay still. Not a minute later, she was making humming noises while tapping my arm. Again, I told her that she needed to lay still. Another minute later and noticeable squirming felt, I strongly told her that she needed to be quiet and lay still or she would have to sleep in the other room. About 30 seconds later she whispers with complete sincerity, "But, can I breathe?" Tom and I were laughing so hard she probably wondered what she had said that was so funny. I just wonder how long she had been trying to hold her breath?
