We found out the sex of our new baby but we are keeping it a secret!! This seems to bother everyone but us, but that's what we've decided to do so we will just have to run the risk of having our friends and family be disgruntled for a few more months. I have a maternal fetal medicine appointment this upcoming Friday to check on the placenta's position among other things and I pray that everything is non- eventful. I love this child of mine so much despite my physical and mental struggles. I love feeling the baby move. I love talking to the baby. I love visualizing what the baby will look like. Although I will be honest in saying I am ready to feel like Heidi again. I don't know where she has gone but I know that in the end, it will all be worth it.
Our home construction has made GREAT progress. They are working on the exterior hardie and stone this next week and so far, it looks great!!! The inside is beginning finish work and it looks like we will be moving in in the next 60 days...very exciting!
(These were taken a couple months ago, but I thought they would do)
Savannah performed in her preschool Christmas program and she actually recited her parts into the microphone in front of a large crowd (something she has never done before)!!! Of course, I was so proud of her that I cried. I love her. Speaking of love, Savannah has such an ability to love and express that love freely to me and Tom and I am so grateful for that. She is an amazing big sister and continues to help me each day. Every night she prays that I will feel better, and most days I want to feel better simply for her sake. I can't even think about her going to Kindergarten in the Fall without tearing up. I guess we will cross that bridge when we get there.
Tom and I celebrated our 11th anniversary! We shared a quiet dinner at Olive Garden where we reminisced about that past 11 years (man, we've been through a lot) and had a lovely night at the Grand America Hotel. The next morning we enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the Little America Hotel. Soo good.
We bought a new car!!! We knew that we were going to have to upgrade our car size with the addition of baby number 3, and after researching many different cars over the past several months, we bought a 2002 Chevy Tahoe. It has low mileage for a car that is 7 years old and was the just right price. I wasn't sure if I would ever get used to driving it but after cruising around town for a few days, I actually really like it! I especially love that it feels so safe.
Aunt Mindy graced us with her presence for 6 weeks and just barely left this past week. It was so fun having her here. We went to the movies, visited In 'n' Out, saw many Christmas lights, shopped a little, ate a lot, and managed to laugh a little too. Love you, Mind. We miss you already.
Hmmm....don't know if I forgot anything, but I'll be sure and to come back and add if I did. Happy New Year and HELLO 2010!!!
