So Mrs. ROBINson has been building her nest for 4 days now. Everything that I have researched says that is takes a robin anywhere from 2-6 days to complete her nest. It is amazing to watch her fly to and from her future family's home with building materials in her beak carefully placing them in just the right position. Occasionally I will see her male counterpart (Mr. ROBINson), who I can only assume will take an active role in this whole thing eventually, but for now it is she who does all the work. I was especially impressed with her today. The weather went from sunny to stormy and she continued to build that nest. As the rain came down, her tiny body wet and probably cold, flew back and forth creating that little home to be strong and sturdy. She's a good little bird and I hope her hard work pays off!!
