Yesterday morning I woke up to the most beautiful chirping I have ever heard. The bird producing the glorious song was obviously very happy that Spring has arrived!! Today I woke up to the sounds of the same bird chirping away. I decided to look out the window to see if I could find the bird responsible for such happy music. To my suprise, I found this:

I can not even begin to tell you how excited I was. I was jumping up and down and cheering for the prospect of a happy little Robin building a nest in MY backyard. I spent the next hour watching her fly back and forth with twigs and other nest building materials in her beak and arranging them on her nest. It was the sweetest sight. My only concern is that she built her nest so low that Tom and I are going to have to create a little fence around the base of the tree so no one disturbs her. Spring is a beautiful thing indeed!!!
