Whenever Benjamin says something especially funny, I grab my phone, quickly scroll to the "notepad" section, and type it in before I forget it. For the past several months, most of his statements end with the question, "right?" as he looks for some kind of affirmation from those around him. It's pretty funny and only sometimes does it get under my skin. Like when every single sentence ends that way. What can I say? He needs to be reassured. These are a few of his most recent dandies.
In reference to the yogurt chips he found in the pantry: "I didn't know there could be white chocolate chips! That's awesome, right?"
While watching a Bible video about Christ's birth after the Angel visits Mary: "That's crazy how angels talk, right?"
When talking about jobs that people have: "Everyone has a job, even Jesus. Jesus has a BUSY job, right Mom?"
Right, Benjamin. You are very, very, right.
