We were able to visit Christopher, Amy, Hailey, Mia, and new baby Hannah over Christmas vacation. Our first day was spent on beautiful Coronado island. I love that no matter how old I get, or how long I've been away from the ocean, it always feels like home walking along the beach. The kids LOVED it too. We didn't bring bathing suits, but that didn't stop them from running in the ocean and playing in the sand without a care in the world. One day, I hope to be able to be as carefree as my children. All I could think about the entire time we were at the beach was how we were going to keep the kids happy after they were done being wet, sandy, and cold when we didn't come prepared with towels or clothes to change into. Why must I be a SUCH a stick in the mud (as evidenced by this last picture of me trying to convince Tom that it was time to go)? Well, the kids had a grand time and I suppose that's all that really matters. :)
