There is one thing that Tom is not and that is idle. I grew up in a family who was satisfied with playing some Trivial Pursuit and watching a movie on a Friday night. Or sitting around watching old family videos. Tom on the other hand does not enjoy sitting still. He seeks out adventure no matter where he is. That's why it didn't surprise me that two of the afternoons while we were in California, Tom took the children and went in search of something active to do while the rest of us stayed inside and snuggled baby Hannah. It was a win,win for all.
