Taking Time For Conversations
This morning I woke up to Savannah lying in bed next to me (like she usually does). She was wide awake snuggling as close she could to me. Benjamin was still sleeping which I was grateful for because he usually is the one to wake up first. Savannah had also slept in a little so I wasn't the usual ornery Mommy that I can be in the morning. As we layed there we talked about everything from her feelings, to the animals she saw at the Zoo yesterday, to what her cousin Jane said about the "spaces in her teeth". We sang songs, exchanged "nuggles", and relaxed. I was reminded that it's okay to slow down once in awhile and appreciate the quiet times that don't happen very often. I love you, Savannah.
