Who Needs Words?
The other night Savannah, Benjamin, and I were eating dinner (Tom was still working). And even though I miss Tom on occasions like this, it's kind of our little family together time. Just the three of us. While Savannah was telling stories of what happened to her that day I just stared at her and marveled at what a precious little thing she was. As I sat listening to her story I was so enamored by her angelic voice, her facial expressions, and her sweet demeanor. I guess you could say it was one of those special "Mom moments". When she was done talking we just smiled at each other - more with our eyes than anything else. And after a few moments of silence she looked at me and said, "I love you too, Mom." That was another one of those special "Mom moments".

That reminds me of the Allison Kraus song "When You Say Nothing At All". That was the song I'd sing to the Beast when he hadn't found his voice yet, and still depended solely on sign language. Sometimes it's the unspoken moments that mean the most.
I just love those moments! It's the most wonderful thing to be a mother...I never understand that saying until you look at your children and have this deep loving feeling inside...and you just want to squeeze them :)
i'm pretty sure tears just came to my eyes..she's such a little angelface
Hi Heidi, I haven't been to your blog for a while. What a cute little moment, and Savannah looks adorable with bangs. I loved Twilight except I wanted to recast most of the actors. Anyway, we should get together sometime. Talk to you later, Jana
