Ever since the whole "Twilight" phenomenon emerged I have avoided the very appearance of having any interest in it. The books, the movie, the t-shirts, you name it, I wasn't eager or willing to jump on the bandwagon. I couldn't understand how an entire generation of teens and their mothers could be so obessesed with a book and its characters let alone put tickers on their blogs counting down to the release of the movie. Well, when Holly's friend Lisa called offering an extra ticket to the midnight showing and asked if I would be interested in going with them, I didn't hesitate. Not for the movie persay, but for a fun girl's night out experience. As the day of the premiere approached I began feeling guilty for taking part in such a pop culture experience without having first read the book along with all the other die hard fans. So, on the day of the movie premier I buckled down, shirked all motherly responsibilities, and read. And if you know me, I'm NOT a reader. But let's just say, Edward had me at "hello, I'm Edward Cullen" and I couldn't put the book down! Needless to say, I entered the movie theatre at 11:10 PM with about 80 pages still to read, but felt that I had put a good enough effort in to be counted among those worthy of being there. And oh.my.stars. The movie did not disapoint either! I loved everything about it! It got under my skin in a way that I can't stop thinking about it. I now have to do what millions of other Twilight fans have done before me: read the remaining three books! And I'm looking forward to it! I love you, Edward!!!
