Jacob turned 2!!!

Jacob Scott Thackeray turned 2 on April 3rd. We had a Yo Gabba Gabba themed party and he was pretty happy to be celebrating his big day! He loves to be right in the middle of the action and is our little charmer.

So I've had these pictures in my possession for over a month now. I've blogged about Spring, and flowers, and conversations with Savannah and Benjamin, and Tooth Fairies, all the while subconsciously avoiding writing a blog post about his special day. I guess in posting these pictures on the blog it just makes it more real that my baby is growing up.  Why do they have to do that anyway?

Here is my list about Jacob:

*Jacob has great hair. No really, he does. It's thick and lustrous, and has great body. He had the least amount of hair of any of my children when he was born, but look at him now!
*Jacob LOVES to be kissed and nuzzled. And give kisses. And he really likes to snuggle with Tom on the couch.
*Jacob LOVES music and loves to sing! Like, he'll actually sing with me when I sing to him instead of telling me to stop. It's pretty incredible and I love it.
*Jacob also loves to dance. Even before he was walking he would do this scooting thing on his bottom whenever music came on.
*Jacob has very short little legs. Probably one of my favorite things about him. But boy, can he move!!!
*Jacob doesn't handle change very well. He loves his routine.
*Jacob is still a screamer. I've began doing time outs and counting to 3 to give him fair warning when the screaming has begun. It works some of the time.
*Jacob LOVES the trampoline. He would spend hours bouncing from his feet to his bottom and back if we let him.
*Jacob does GREAT in the nursery and the nursery leaders LOVE him. I would even venture to say that he is their favorite.
*Jacob is finally starting to wear shoes without screaming and taking them off immediately. He'll even ask to put them on. It helps that he has older siblings that set an example.
*Jacob LOVES to color. That's what he asks to do in sacrament meeting (when he isn't screaming).
*Jacob melts my heart and reaches the very depths of my soul with his sweet spirit and smile, and makes me so, so, grateful that we took the risk to have him in our family. We love you Jacob Boy!!!
