Savannah is relishing in the role of oldest child. She is doing so well in school, still loves to draw and play pretend, is a superb tumbler - in fact she has advanced into a class where all girls but one tower over her - she loves to snuggle and show affection, and she is gaining in confidence in her interactions with others. Savannah is a planner and likes to know what activities are on the agenda so she can know what to expect. This sometimes leads me to revealing our plans at the very last minute so I can avoid questions like, "How many more days again?" "Is this the first day?" "Is three hours a long time?" To drive my point home, I will tell you that she has had her carry on packed for our trip to So. Carolina since this past Friday. That's 6 days before we actually leave. Tom says,"maybe we should take our kids on vacations more often." I'm so thankful for the beautiful girl that she is and especially for her infectious smile.
I am currently loving the stage Benjamin has entered into. I told my mom that he is a close second (to Tom) in earning the title of "love of my life". I don't know how it happened, but it was like one day a light switch went on, the communication lines opened up, and my little boy made his way back into my heart. Maybe I have said this before but the boy is funny. For instance, yesterday before I took the kids into the Dollar Store I made a speech about how they were going to want a lot of things in there, but Mommy was only going to get a few things that we need and to please not ask for anything. As soon as we entered the store, Benj looked around and exclaimed, "Savannah! She's right...there IS a lot of stuff I want in here!" Funny right? Recently he has been putting things in his pants. "Exhibit A" is what he called his "crunchy pants". They were filled with Legos. "Exhibit B" is when he got a ball stuck in his pants. FUNNY. Benjamin also likes to tease Savannah and Tom by turning off lights, shutting doors, and fleeing from the scene of the crime. Of course, he can be found giggling in a corner somewhere. As Tom puts it, "our life would be boring without that boy." I couldn't agree more.

Last (but certainly not least) I'd like to pay tribute to my Tommy Boy. He's funny too, ya know? Like the other day while we were listening to Taylor Swift in the car and he says," I think I like Taylor Swift so much because we have the same range." Yup, that's my Tom. And I love him too.
