Because of the recent events in our life making our future uncertain when it comes to expanding our family, I was especially touched this past birthday by the use of the word "mom". I came home to decorations and banners that read, "Happy Birthday, Mom!" I received a card from Grandma Sandy that read "Heidi Mom" on the envelope, and when I went to the grocery store to pick up ingredients to make dinner that night the young man at the checkout said, "And how is Mom doing today?" Each of these things made me realize how lucky I am to already be a mom. And how aware Heavenly Father is that I needed to hear that.
