Warmth

So, despite it being FREEZING outside, I have a nice warm feeling in my heart. It's Sunday, and it was my turn to teach in Young Women. I wanted to get the girls into the Christmas spirit so we sang songs and read scriptures and quotes about Christ's birth, ministry, and mission. I thought it turned out well and the spirit was definitely there. It was a great way to start out the day as well as the month that we celebrate the birth of the Savior. After we came home from Sunday dinner at my parents home, Tom and I watched the First Presidency Christmas Devotional which was wonderful as always. After the devotional, KBYU continued to play Christmas specials featuring the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I'm telling you, nothing gets me in the Christmas mood more than listening to songs and hymns.

I'm grateful for days like today. Days when instead of going to bed exhausted from being a mom all day long, I want to stay up and savor the fullness that fills my heart. It was a good day.
