Blogging Withdrawl

So, I don't blog for a few days and before I know it, I'm going through blog withdrawl! Maybe I'm just sick of visiting my blog and seeing the same post day after day, so here I am, at 10:49 PM on a Tuesday night adding yet another chapter to the Thackeray family history.

It all started when our digital camera went on the fritz and I didn't have any new pictures to post. And then I didn't have any earth shattering stories to tell, and darn it, the rain had ceased so no inspirational weather to write about either! Well, today I visited our newly constructed local Wal-Mart and remedied the situation by purchasing new batteries for our camera, but since both of our kids are peacefully slumbering in their beds, I would be a fool to arouse them just for the sake of capturing a cute blog photo!! So I'll write a little something that's on my mind.

I gotta say that I have been especially impressed with Savannah lately. Aside from the daily battles that we experience as mother/daughter, she is really impressing me with her attitude towards learning. While having family home evening lastnight(we're going on a record three week stretch!!), we taught her about the prophet, Gordon B. Hinckley. We asked her if she knew where he lived? And Savannah says very enthusiastically, "President 'Hinckie' go to the 'Tempo'! " Now, I'm not saying this to brag about my daughter's gospel knowledge, rather to say that I am never happier than when I'm teaching her the true things of the gospel. It's the most rewarding part of being a mother, and I'm grateful I have the chance.

And that's my blog "novel" for the day.

Yep, kids say the darndest things--and the cutest things, too! Isn't it so fun when they catch on to gospel things?

Glad you got your camera back up and running!
