Remember these shoes? The red shoes that I wrote a blog post about 4 1/2 years ago? Well, I have kept them these past four years with our dress up shoes, never really expecting that the day would come that those shoes would ever fit my baby girl. A couple of days ago, Savannah came up to me and said, "Look Mom! The shoes fit me now!" Instantly I remembered the story behind those shoes and knew that this was a moment I needed to blog. The second I pulled up the picture of those tiny chubby feet drowning in those ruby red slippers, my heart started to ache. Those feet. Those same tiny feet now fill those shoes. Those feet will never be that small again. I love that tiny Savannah then and the big girl Savannah now. The days might be long but man, the years are so short.
