I had a great Mother's Day this year. I really did. It started by going to hear my mom and dad speak in their ward about their experiences serving in the Salt Lake County Jail. Thanks to Tom and Holly and Jeremy, my kids were taken care of and entertained so I could listen to both of their talks. So enjoyable. Then, we ran home during Sunday School and Tom made the most delicious waffles with cool whip and homemade strawberry jam (Mom and I made this the day before), orange juice, sausage, grapefruit and cantaloupe. I'm asking for this breakfast for Mother's Day from now on!! Then, Mom and I went to Relief Society taught by Sheri Dew. She talked about Missionary work, but tied it into motherhood and how the most important missionary work we can do is with our own children. After church we went back to Grandma's house where we had an encore of breakfast - I think it was even better the second time around. Then, I washed off my makeup, got dressed in comfy jammies and relaxed on the couch the rest of the day. It was heavenly. The boys made us a yummy steak dinner and even did the dishes. I told Tom that this was gonna be a hard Mother's Day to duplicate. It was seriously perfect.
