Well... it happened. My baby turned 1. Since we were in South Carolina for his first birthday, I tried to pretend it didn't happen, but April 3rd came and went and I knew that time wasn't going to wait for me to be ready :-) It's hard to imagine that just a year ago my beautiful boy was 4 pounds and 18 inches long. Looking through the pictures of him in the days after he was born, I was filled with a quiet gratitude that I am a mother. To have held 3 sweet tiny people minutes after they entered this world and know that it was I who shared a space with them while they developed and prepared to join our family. What a sacred calling. How blessed I am to be a woman. Thank you Jacob for being such a little love. Happy Birthday sweet boy!!

Sounds so similar to where Levi is right now! He still has a few months to go before he turns one, and just barely got his first tooth...but he likes to eat what we are eating too. Fun little buddies!
