they love each other

We met Mickey!! In all 33 years of my life and all my trips to Disneyland, I have never met Mickey!! Benjamin wasn't really impressed :)

this picture needs some explaining...My friend Wendy had just been to Disneyland the week before and hid a little treasure in a tree for me to find when we got there. it was actually a really fun idea and one that I hope to repeat in the future.

breakfast with Minnie and Friends. she was freakishly small and strong! she had a death grip on my shoulder the entire time!

Jacob boy won't remember any of this trip. but he sure was a good boy!!
This trip to Disneyland was a really enjoyable one. We have been three times now with children and even though we had the most kids we've ever had it was the most pleasant experience. Of course you feel like you are never physically up for the task of tackling The Happiest Place On Earth but I went into this trip with one attitude: this is ALL for the kids. Don't have any high expectations or visions of grandeur, just go with the flow, breath deep, and everything will turn out great. Of course we had our moments of perfection when the expressions on our children's faces were so full of wonder that I was overcome with tears of happiness (cheesy but true). Juxtaposed with moments of complete humiliation as recently potty trained Benjamin had a full blown trickling down his legs accident in the middle of dinner at the Hungry Bear Restaurant as disgusted patrons looked on. All in all, it was a successful trip and I was thankful to help create happy memories for my children. Because isn't that what it's all about?
