Celebrating Mother's Day

So, my Mother's Day actually started a few days before Mother's Day. Tom came home with a beautiful flower arrangement on Friday and kicked off the celebration. That night, my mom and I fulfilled a cleaning assignment at the Bountiful Temple together and we considered that our Mother's Day "date". I am absolutely amazed at the precision and care that is put into keeping the Lord's house spotless. Did you know in addition to the 20 or so volunteers that come in for 4 hours every night that the Temple has a regular cleaning staff that is there every night for 4 hours as well? Amazing. The next day while Tom was at work, Holly and I spent a good portion of the day making strawberry jam in Mom's kitchen. It was a lot of fun and as Holly would tease me for saying ,"minimum input, maximum output". Sunday morning I woke up to a delicious breakfast in bed of stuffed french toast, fresh strawberries and bacon. YUMMY!!!! My mom and dad came to church to see Savannah sing with the Primary for her first time (she didn't sing but at least she went up on the stand), and then that afternoon we went to Steve and Janet's home for a Mother's Day dinner with Grandma Sandy. It was a good few days!!
