Benjamin Boy

Benjamin is NOT a snuggler. I wish he was. But I can count the times on one hand (other than when he was a newborn and he literally had no choice) that he has sat peacefully on my lap. Well, since we have changed church schedules to the oh-so-kid-friendly time of 1-4 Benjamin has been a real joy at church. It's smack in the middle of his nap time. The ONLY benefit is that he gets so exhausted that he will sit peacefully in my lap for about 15 minutes or so. I don't know if this practice in relaxing with mommy at church has opened his little mind to the idea that it's okay to occasionally surrender in the arms of the woman that loves him most and appease her with a little snuggling time, but he's done it now...TWICE. One day as I was sitting at the computer he crawled up in my lap, put his head on my shoulder and nestled his tiny little body against my chest. It was heaven. Without wanting to jinx the moment, but having the urge to let him know how much I loved having him close I whispered, "Did you know that your mommy loves you?" He quickly answered back, "Ya" while nodding his head up and down. And then not wanting to push my luck but feeling like I couldn't just stop there I whispered, "Did you know that you are my miracle from Heaven?" He answered again, "Ya". It was worth it. For that little moment.
