There's a First Time for Everything

(Savannah's First Artwork)

Savannah started pre-school today. I know, I know, it's just pre-school, what's the big deal right? But Savannah is my first child. My first and only daughter. My first to give me morning sickness. My first to be born. My first to smile. My first to crawl. My first to walk. My first to call me "mommy". My first to say, "I love you, Mom." My first be potty trained. My first to say her own prayers. My first. So today it was another first. Her first day of school, even if it is just pre-school. And with all the others, my heart embraced another first - albeit with a little sadness. Because I know, there's more firsts just waiting around the corner.

Tony gave Logan a Father's blessing the night before he started pre-school, and that is what made me cry. I didn't cry the day of school but I was so porud of the little guy! Time flies, that's for sure!
