August with the FINNS

I already mentioned that August was one, crazy, month! My grandmother was visiting from Finland so my entire family got together including my mom's brother, wife, and two of their sons visiting from Finland. With 19 adults, 12 grand kids, give or take a couple of chihuahuas you can bet that it got a little noisy and chaotic, but we managed to have a really good time!! One of my favorite parts was hanging out with our cousins Lauri and Eero whom we've only seen a handful of times in our lives. They are SO cool and we can't wait to see them when we return to Finland in 2010!! Here is a list of some of the activities/events we enjoyed during the 2 weeks:

*Van Wagenen Family get-to-gether (with extended fam)

*Temple Square (Music and the Spoken Word...which was INCREDIBLE)

*Antelope Island (First time to visit...didn't even know it existed!!)

*Kennecott Copper Mine (BIG whole in the ground)

*Bees Game (There's nothing that says Summer like a baseball game!)

*Mia's Birthday

*The Bubble (Bountiful Rec. Center)

*Smores in Dad's firepit

*April's Birthday (Royal India Restaurant...yummm)

*Lagoon (Went on the ride "Wicked" for the 1st time...thought I was going to die!)

In addition to all of that, Mindy and Ryan celebrated their 1st Anniversary and Holly and Jeremy celebrated 6 years! I think we can safely say that we are heading out of Summer with a BANG!!
