President Gordon B. Hinckley
June 23, 1910 - January 27, 2008
The news of President Hinckley's passing brought very mixed emotions. He has been the Prophet through some very crucial years of my life and has provided me with much comfort, hope, and strength. I will miss seeing his sweet face and hearing his tender voice but I am so comforted by the knowledge that he is with his wife, and many, many, others that went on before him. What a great reunion that must have been! I can truly say I love that man and that he will be missed. Last night after we heard the news and I started to cry, Tom thought he would explain to Savannah what had happened. I wondered if she would really grasp any bit of what he was telling her. As he was putting her to bed and they were saying prayers, Savannah spontaneously jumped in and said,"please bless President Hinckley." It was a tender moment. I am so grateful for his life and for the Gospel that he lived so fully.

I just finished making my tribute to President Hinckley on my blog and then to come see yours...how cool. He will be missed by so many people. He was such a hard-working, loving, inspiring man. We truly have been blessed.
